System Overview:
SOC (State Of Charge) base system should be read as a percentage estimate of how full the ampere hours (ah) battery is.

The estimate is based on the amp hour balance counter. This counter keeps a running balance of amp hours input versus amp hours output. At the controller the SOC display shows this balance as a percentage of the battery size.

To prevent battery damage due to over-discharge, the controller has an internal function designed to turn on the engine to charge battery if the battery voltage falls too low.
